Building Permits

As registered building surveyors, Deemed to Perform Consulting also provides statutory building permit services that ensure construction projects comply with all requirements under the Building Act 1993, Building Regulations 2018, and the National Construction Code (NCC).

Acting as the Relevant Building Surveyor (RBS), we are authorised to assess, issue, and enforce building permits for a range of project types, including retaining walls, garages, extensions, new dwellings, and alterations. Our role is to independently verify that each proposal satisfies the prescribed performance and safety standards required by Victorian legislation.

We conduct a thorough assessment of all submitted documentation, ensuring it meets the technical and administrative requirements for approval. This includes confirming compliance with siting provisions, structural adequacy, fire safety, energy efficiency, and accessibility standards before a building permit is issued.

Throughout the permit process, our statutory responsibilities also extend to:

• Conducting mandatory inspections at key stages of construction
• Monitoring compliance with approved documentation
• Issuing Occupancy Permits or Certificates of Final Inspection upon completion
